Michelle Burnett is the Assistant Vice President of Resilience, Mitigation and Policy at Tidal Basin. A planning and response professional, Michelle has over 20 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. She is a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), and Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM). Prior to joining Tidal Basin, Michelle held the role of Senior Manager of Enterprise Response and Resiliency at a Fortune 5 healthcare company and served as their COVID-19 federal response liaison to “The Operation” and vaccine task force.

Michelle previously served as State Floodplain Coordinator and Chief of Planning for the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency (RIEMA). She has a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and a Master of Marine Affairs, Coastal Policy and Management from the University of Rhode Island.
