Michele Durrani is the Senior Director of Proposals for Tidal Basin. She brings a wealth of experience from the Aviation, Defense, Transportation, Healthcare, A/E/C, and Emergency Management industries. Passionate about delivering high-quality proposals, Michele’s expertise lies in leading high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, and driving process improvements.
In her current role at Tidal Basin, Michele manages a robust proposal team, overseeing all aspects of team and proposal pipeline management, from planning and budgeting to quality deliverables to staffing and reporting. Her approach empowers staff to reach their highest potential and efficiently organize project deadlines and resources. Michele has a proven track record in managing multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining strategic relationships, and delivering successful proposals. She is instrumental in the compliance review process, ensuring accuracy and completeness in proposal deliveries. Additionally, she assists the department head with budgeting and provides guidance on team performance and growth potential.
Michele’s commitment to continuous improvement is demonstrated by her ability to identify opportunities for growth, implement effective policies, and develop strategies that align with the organization’s vision. Before becoming a Senior Director of Proposal, Michele served as a Manager and Director of Proposal at Tidal Basin, where she acted as an interim deputy and managed the bid process and simultaneous proposal responses, developed effective proposal strategies, and delivered winning proposals. Before joining Tidal Basin, she worked in other key proposal roles with large international A/E/C and professional services firms, including Serco in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, which enhanced her understanding of proposal management from a global business perspective.
Michele holds a B.A. in Political Science and History and is a certified proposal professional from the Association for Proposal Management (CF APMP). Michele’s strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, adaptability, work ethic, knowledge, and skills raise Tidal Basin’s proposal operational standards, enhance team performance, and propel the organization toward its goals.
