Our Background

For years prior to 2017, Tidal Basin Group Government Consulting [CGW1] had a presence on the islands, but after Hurricanes Irma and Maria, the company knew it had to be a permanent fixture to help prepare and recover from natural disasters. Early 2018, Tidal Basin Caribe, LLC, was created to provide specialized recovery services in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean and on March 1, 2018, Tidal Basin Caribe opened its doors. Since then, Tidal Basin Caribe has been the Caribbean’s premier emergency management and recovery partner, actively providing housing, infrastructure, and efficient financial recovery support.

Tidal Basin Caribe's technical expertise includes emergency and disaster management services, grants management, financial compliance, comprehensive project formulation, and environmental compliance.

Community Involvement

  • Alliance Blood Drive

Tidal Basin Caribe is at it again! With another generous contribution to the community they serve, employees give of themselves – literally – to improve the lives of local residents.

The team participated in a blood drive to benefit those in need of care during this critical time in Puerto Rico’s early stages of recovery after the recent earthquakes. Damages across the island resulted in hospital evacuations and power outages, leaving injured patients even more vulnerable.

The blood drive was held on January 15, 2020 at the US Alliance office in Bayamon. Director of Operations at Tidal Basin Caribe Frances Chavez shares that 31 employees donated blood. The donations will go to the Blood Bank of Puerto Rico to be used wherever needed across the island.

  • Tu Hogar Renace Program: Hogar de Niños Forjadores de Esperanza

From 2018 through 2020, Tidal Basin Caribe provided monetary donations to a local orphanage and gave the children who live there a Christmas full of cheer! The orphanage, Hogar de Niños Forjadores de Esperanza, is a safe haven for young boys who have been removed from abusive homes. Thanks to the “Foragers of Hope,” the children are provided a higher quality of life and are supported in establishing their own stable and balanced lifestyles.

Director of Puerto Rico Operations at Tidal Basin Caribe Frances Chávez shared that the gifts were purchased by individual employees from her team, as well as from the Tidal Basin CDBG team. The check was offered from Tidal Basin Caribe to the orphanage to help them cover costs of utilities and professional services.

  • Guaynabo Blood Drive

Tidal Basin's parent company, Rising Phoenix Holdings Corporation (RPHC), recently coordinated a blood drive in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, that resulted in 73 pints of life-saving blood. This blood drive helped raise awareness about the importance of blood donations and how they benefit cancer, open-heart surgery, and organ transplant patients.

  • Donation to Fundación CAP

On March 14, 2019, Rising Phoenix Holdings Corporation (RPHC) through Tidal Basin Caribe made a charitable donation to Fundación CAP (Cáncer Pediátrico), a non-profit organization to help children with cancer at Hospital Pediátrico, the leading public pediatric hospital in Puerto Rico. CAP's mission is to make sure that all children with cancer have access to first-rate cancer treatment in Puerto Rico - regardless of their family's financial situation.

"Tidal Basin Caribe is happy to support our local community and provide a donation for $2,500 to Fundación CAP," said Frances Chávez, director of Puerto Rico operations at Tidal Basin Caribe. "We hope this gift will help ensure that all children fighting cancer can have access to life-saving treatment and stay close to home and their families."
