Hazard Mitigation Specialist

The primary purpose of this position is to assist our clients in the implementation of their Hazard Mitigation (HM) Programs as well as maintain the effectiveness, efficiency, and success of the various HM programs and business management operations in relation to client and Business Unit’s requirements, goals, and objectives.

Serve as the Hazard Mitigation Specialist to apply FEMA’s Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) Grant Program’s Guidance with a specific focus on administering and monitoring program support assistance which is critical to effective mitigation program delivery to our clients.

The role of Hazard Mitigation Specialist will provide the client insight and coordination of technical assistance and will participate in the coordination of project eligibility through analysis including technical feasibility, cost management, extensions, and project appeals of Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) project applications. This position requires the ability to present program and technical requirements to a varied professional audience.
