We are excited to welcome Chris Hartnett, Vice President for the Northeast Region, to the Tidal Basin team. Chris brings 30 years of experience in law enforcement, critical infrastructure security, and emergency and disaster management to the Tidal Basin regional business development team.

His extensive experience includes significant leadership roles with FEMA including serving as the Region II Public Assistance (PA) Branch Chief, Infrastructure Branch Director for Response and Recovery, and as the Federal Coordinating Officer for Hurricanes Irma, Maria, Dorian and TS Isaac.  

His early career saw an impressive 26-year service with the New Jersey State Police in key law enforcement leadership roles and emergency management roles overseeing recovery operations for more than 11 federally declared disasters, including major events like Hurricane Sandy and COVID-19. Chris’s leadership skills were further demonstrated through his contributions to disaster recovery efforts in the U.S. Virgin Islands and his management of Public Assistance and Hazard Mitigation Grant Programs for Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey.  

Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and sociology, has completed several ICS training courses, and is committed to community service, including volunteer work with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America.
