Tidal Basin Speaking Engagements
Mitigation Trends and the Future of Federal Funding
The future of mitigation seems bright when reviewing the recent trends as they relate to federal funding available, or soon to be, for non-disaster grants, i.e. BRIC and HMGP. Join us for a discussion on the current mitigation outlook, what was noticeable in the past and what communities and experts see now, and where mitigation is going based on funding trends.
Trends and Benefits of Non-Federal Match
Non-Federal Match is a CDBG-DR Program that enables use of funds from state or local governments CDBG-DR allocation as the cost-share match requirement on FEMA PA, IA, and HMGP Projects.
Operationalizing After-Action Reports and Improvement Plans (AAR/IPs) into Preparedness, Response, Recovery, and Mitigation Activities
Preparedness is the first phase in comprehensive emergency management, though all phases are important. Even more important is follow up once plans and programs are in place, ensuring these activities are in all phases of emergency management for continuity.
