About The NACo Legislative Conference
The National Association of Counties (NACo) is a nationwide organization guided on the belief that stronger counties result in a stronger America. NACo serves nearly 40,000 county elected officials and 3.6 million county employees and hosts several conferences. The Association’s Legislative Conference, slated for February in Washington, D.C., focuses primarily on federal policy issues that impact counties and their residents with the goal of educating and keeping our communities resilient.

Who Should Attend
The Tidal Basin team will be among 2,000 elected and appointed county officials such as public affairs, and emergency management employees. Attendees will engage in second-to-none policy and educational sessions, interact with federal officials, and participate in congressional briefings and meetings.

Gulf States Counties and Parishes Caucus Meeting

Caucus members will also discuss federal legislative priorities and strategize for future GSCPC events and initiatives. American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Office Hours with Tidal Basin

The recently enacted bipartisan infrastructure package, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, created many new programs accessible by counties. Over the next five years, the U.S. Department of Transportation alone will award roughly $100 billion to state and local governments through competitive grant programs. Join this workshop to learn more about new funding and financing opportunities and how counties can access available resources. During these office hours, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage with policy experts about the infrastructure package and how to access funds.
