About FDEM Emergency Management Day at the Florida Capitol

The Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) is hosting its 5th annual Emergency Management (EM) Day on March 11, 2025, at the Florida Capitol in Tallahassee. This event brings together emergency management professionals from across the state to engage with legislators, fostering collaboration and improvement in serving Florida residents. The event kicks off with a welcome reception on March 10, followed by a full day of activities at the Capitol.

Florida Permit Specialist
Location: Pasco County, FL

Tidal Basin is seeking a detail-oriented Florida Permit Specialist to support the County/City’s Building and Permitting Department. This role involves performing essential administrative tasks to ensure the smooth processing of construction permits and related documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist applicants with construction permit applications and calculate required fees.
  • Process and issue permits in collaboration with City departments and maintain accurate records.
  • Route and track building plans through the approval process.
  • Schedule and assign inspection requests while managing contractor information.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in permitting, licensing, inspections, or customer service in regulatory services.
