Tidal Basin, in coordination with Los Angeles County Office of Emergency Services Disaster Management Area Coordinators (DMAC) presented two training sessions in Los Angeles County for local jurisdictions to learn more about the critical items necessary to have a successful recovery, lessons learned from the 2017-2018 hurricane season and working with FEMA, and housing issues related to FEMA STEP and HUD CDBG-DR programs. Tidal Basin's presenters included Laura DeLoach and Allen Davis for the first two sessions related to FEMA and Andre LeBlanc for the housing presentation.
The Glendale Fire Department generously provided use of their facility for the morning session, and the City of Los Angeles Emergency Management Department hosted the afternoon session at their Emergency Operations Center. Several areas were represented, including Culver City, Pasadena, Glendale, City of Los Angeles, LA County, and others.
