Director of Capture
Jason Coccia is Tidal Basin’s Director of Capture, bringing over 20 years of expertise in management consulting, strategic planning, and business development within the governmental and commercial sectors. With a proven track record of leading high-value projects and growing sales pipelines, Jason plays an integral role in advancing Tidal Basin’s efforts to support communities and organizations in building resilience and effectively responding to challenges.
Jason has an extensive background in sustainability consulting, infrastructure planning, and asset management. Before joining Tidal Basin, he served as Director of Sustainability and Nature-Based Solutions at Tetra Tech Inc., where he led business-line programs and helped drive multi-million-dollar project initiatives, including construction management services for the Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Notable highlights from his career include spearheading the financial analysis for innovative offshore wind infrastructure technologies and developing strategies for nature-based solutions that drove significant ROI and environmental impact.
His leadership extends to project execution and proposal development, leveraging his expertise as a Certified Scrum Master and Scrum Product Owner to deliver streamlined and results-driven solutions. His accomplishments include leading large, complex capture initiatives, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and driving strategic pursuits that align with client needs.
An accomplished professional, Jason holds an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University. He also holds CPA certification in Colorado and maintains additional credentials in ESG and nature-based solutions. Outside of his work, he contributes to the community as a board member of the Colorado 14ers Initiative, where he promotes sustainability and environmental stewardship.
