Michael Gallagher
Senior Director, Mitigation Operations
Michael Gallagher is Tidal Basin’s Senior Director of Mitigation Operations. In this role, Michael monitors and evaluates the implementation and delivery of Mitigation programs to clients.
Prior to joining Tidal Basin, Michael served as Bureau Chief of the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management, Emergency Response Bureau. Michael managed six units within the Bureau, including Urban Search and Rescue (New Jersey Task Force 1), the Hazardous Material Response Unit, the All-Hazards Incident Management Team, and the Regional Response Units. He supervised both enlisted and civilian members and implemented a cross-training of Recovery Public Assistance Unit team members and Region Response staff.
Before his disaster mitigation career, Michael served in law enforcement in New York and New Jersey for over 20 years.
Michael holds a master’s degree in public administration from Seton Hall University and a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science from SUNY – College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
